The Women & Philanthropy Speaker Series' fifth event, Histories & Futures: Restoring Justice & Transforming Education with Dr. Maisha T. Winn, facilitated by LeShelle May on November 3, 2021. 

This conversation with Dr. Winn and LeShelle May reminded us that we look back in order to look forward and provided an understanding that transformative justice is about being in the right relationships with individuals and communities. As we learned, transformative justice is "mindset" work. Dr. Winn also shared her 5 pedagogical stances that move us toward justice: Histories Matter, Race Matters, Justice Matters, Language Matters and Futures Matter.
